I never thought

I never thought I would play with a deer, but as you can see from these pictures I did. On the way home from the sleep conference I went to last year Aaron and I decided to stop at Bear World. There were tons of signs on the highway advertising it and we thought we should give it a try. It was way better than I thought it would be.
When we first walked outside we could see all of the baby bears running around and playing with each other. It was great since usually at the zoo the bears just lay in the shade all day. Then we got to watch people feed the baby bears with a bottle. That was really cool too. We probably would have done it ourselves if we were rich. (It cost about $50 to feed one).
After that we went into this petting zoo. However, it isn't like most petting zoos where the animals are behind a fence nope they were just running around all over. At first we sat and played with the goats because they were hungry and it was easy to get them to come to us. There were also some birds that were running around. We saw little kids running around chasing them and both vowed we would bring Tanner when he could walk. They also had this huge pot belly pig.
My favorite though were the deers. The doe, girl deer, decided she liked me and laid her head down in my lap. It was very cute and made me very happy. Then I decided to go and pet the buck. His horns had been cut down so they weren't very long. He was eating the bush so I figured I could just go and pet him and he wouldn't care...I was wrong. He decided to butt me with his head so I wouldn't pet him while he was eating. It was quite funny.
After that we went for a drive where they have tons of bears, wolves, elk, and other animals. My two favorites were the albino baby deer and the wolf. It was pretty cool though when the bears would just walk in front of the vehicle. We did find it funny though that people weren't following the rules they would roll there windows down to take pictures...in my head I was thinking are you crazy these are huge bears do you want them to come in your car and kill you.
Luckily, none of them did, but a few did get in trouble which made me feel better about us following the rules.
After that, we stopped and got some food and headed the rest of the way home.

"3 of a Kind" Well Sort Of...

Griffen, Tanner, and Gracie are 3 of a kind. They all like to drink out of their bottles. They all like to go to their grandma's house. They love to play with each other. They even like to play outside. However, they are so different.

Griffen is the giant of the bunch. He is too big for his own good. Some people try to talk to him like he is a six year old, but he responds like a three year old because well he is only three. He also still likes to play like a three year old. The only problem is it isn't very fun to get attacked by a three year old the size of like I said a six year old.

Tanner has a huge head. He screams whenever you put a shirt over his head. This is because the shirts that fit his body don't fit over his head. So, most time time he ends up topless.
Gracie is so small. She should be a lot bigger, but she has a bone disease. This makes her smaller and a lot more breakable. However despite this she is rough and tough just like the boys. She can walk and she even is able to climb into the bathtub.

So, like I said these three are three of a kind...just not on the outside.

Swimming

Tanner loves to play in the water. This video shows him the first time we let him play in his pool outside. It also shows numerous tricks and talents he has. My favorite being: "stretch up tall, touch your toes, and spin around." He is turning into such a bright kid. Anyway, hope you all enjoy watching.

Actually: I lied this is a shorter version of the video so you don't get to see my favorite. Anyway, enjoy watching he is still super cute in this one.

Why working nights is...almost the same as drinking?

Me and my co-worker were talking this morning about how similar the effects of working nights is the same as drinking alcohol. I've never had alcohol and don't plan on it either, but here is what we decided the two had in common.

1. You can't think straight.
2. You think slower.
3. You can be a bit off balance.
4. You slur your speech.
5. You are more likely to do or say things you don't normally do or say.
6. You get either really silly or really angry.
7. You aren't in complete control of yoursel.
8. You can get nauseas.

Luckily, for me we figured out a few things that the two did not have an common.

1. You don't have a hangover when you wake up from sleep deprivation.
2. It isn't as addictive.

Hope this was entertaining for some of you....if not sorry....it was this morning....after not sleeping all night and only sleeping a few hours during the day, Smile!
