So, Tanner has a new favorite. They are called slides. He's actually liked them for a while, but now they are an obsession. I'm going to blame my work party for it actually. We went to Spanish Fork swimming pool...where of course they have a water slide. So, me being the nice mom I was decided I would let him try going on it. Honestly, I thought he would be scared to death and scream though whole way down. Instead, he laughed, giggled and squeeled...then upon reaching the bottom immediately began to say again again. Which meant I got to walk up the flights of stairs to the top and go down the slide again. He didn't even mind standing in line shivering for several minutes. When I finally made him leave (5 or 6 flights down) he was very sad. However, I was proud of him because he got over it when he found out we got to go ride in the truck (SUV) and return home to his kitties and daddy. He wasn't so happy when he found out that meant going to bed, but I didn't tell him that til we got home.

Hmmm
So, I haven't written for a while...obviously. This week everyone in my little family is sick. Not so fun.
Anyway, I've decided officially that life isn't fair. People that should have easy lives don't and people that have easy lives don't usually do to much to deserve them. For instance, one of the nicest people I know who tries to do good things with a passion seems to have everything go wrong. Then other friends who seem to just drift through life not really headed for anything seem to get all that they dreamed with out having to put forth too much effort. I'm sure they have problems, but arguing over which way to fold towels just doesn't compare to a real life crisis. Then I have those friends that didn't take the easy path, but chose the one that should be the most rewarding...like sticking with things that probably won't work or cost way more money than they have. Yet again...they seem to keep tumbling down hill. Yep, they took the hard path, but shouldn't they get some sort of reward...even just some flowers are something. Nope, looks like they are in it like Job. Destined to have everything go wrong. Well, I guess they will become stronger or more broken in the end. Hopefully stronger, but right now I'm just not so sure that all of them will end up stronger. I mean I have a relative who found out they had a kid with some severe problems before the child was born. Rather than taking the easy route and aborting the child they decided to keep him. Now they might loose there house and everything in it. Plus, who knows if their child is going to make it. I personally would have made the same decision and yes they say that they feel blessed everyday, but sometimes I just wish that people who have hard lives would be cut a break for a while. They might get one, but who knows. Anyway, hopefully everyone loved my ranting for the day.
